Good Morning

The baby chicks arrived today. Normally it is warmer the first of March in Western NY. So the birdies had a rough trip. We are hoping for a bit of a warm up and this will be the last day with minus degree temps.

My friend is going to raise my baby goats this year and breed for her mini lamancha's sending me the milkers back next spring. It will be a very nice thing for both me and her. Today I make trip to her house with the livestock trailer to take her babies and bring back 3 milkers. Which will have us over flowing in milk.

I believe I have 3 more goats to kid does not look like anytime soon. Maybe on warmer days!

Busy time on the farm so much fun!

CREAMERY

Very excited in the next few weeks we will be doing the last part of our creamery set up.  I am looking forward to the adventure of pasteurizing milk, making yogurt, cheese and fudge for retail sales.  I plan to start out slow with a few local shops, markets and a CSA along with my Raw milk sales here on the farm.

Of course my farm share holder will get first choice of all the  new products to add to the weekly milk pick ups.
So if you are interested please let me know. $11.75 a week could add a quart of yogurt and 1/2 pound of cheese.  Selection of cheese will vary week to week.  For a prepaid 10 weeks of $117.50   A half share for bi-weekly customers is $58.75

house babies

We have 6 baby goats in the house. Feeding them many times a day is easier but the mess they can make is a lot of work  laundry and floor washing is often.
